Once upon a time, I was this little girl standing by a couple of ducks on my grandparents’ farm in winter. This was even before I started wearing glasses at the age of 3! I spent most of my life in a rural town in Eastern Washington before setting off on what my father called my grand adventure to a small, private university called Susquehanna University in Central Pennsylvania. Since then, I’ve been looking for adventure wherever I am. I lived and studied for four months in Paris, France and then I moved to Fort Collins, CO for grad school. After grad school, I moved back “home” to the Pacific Northwest. This time to the more urban western side of the state where the mountains, the water, and a certain gentleman have stolen my heart. But that’s not to say the adventures will end – they’re definitely just beginning!
I hope this blog will be a place I can share the adventures large and small that I have in making the Pacific Northwest my home. We love to travel both in the area and around the world, so that will feature on the blog when we can travel, but it will also be about cooking & eating, making our place into our home, and just generally finding my place in the world. As it turns out, there’s a lot of transition in life, at least there is in the mid-to-late twenties.
